Sandra-Lee Bartell

Sandra-Lee Bartell, 82, of Ladson, SC, widow of the late David Bartell, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2025.

A Celebration of Life will be Saturday morning, February 1, 2025 at 11 o’clock in Parks Funeral Home Chapel, 130 West 1st North Street, Summerville, SC 29483. Flowers will be accepted or memorials in her name may be made to My Sister’s House, PO Box 71171, North Charleston, SC 29415.

Sandra was born December 28, 1942 in Vancouver, Canada, the daughter of the late Douglas Thomson and Jessie Thompson Thomson. She was an avid cat lover and enjoyed gardening, reading, and shopping at thrift stores. She was very giving and was always “paying it forward.”

Survivors include her sons, Charles Bartell (Nancy) of Summerville, SC, Mike Bartell (Kristin) of Moncks Corner, SC, and Doug Bartell (Susan) of Goose Creek, SC; daughters, Heather Kennedy (Jack) of Summerville, SC and Robin Reed (Daryl) of Centorton, AR; grandchildren, Kayla Reed-Rushing of Centorton, AR, David Bartell, Jr. of Summerville, SC, Tanner Bartell of Round O, SC, Nathan Bartell, and Tobin Bartell, both of Goose Creek, SC; great-grandchild, Lena Rushing of Centorton, AR; and other special family members, Zachary Gunning, Kayla Vetter, and Isia Kennedy.
