Sara Stasiukaitis Obituary

Sara Elizabeth Henry Stasiukaitis, 82, of Summerville, SC, wife of Joseph Stasiukaitis, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 8, 2022.

A Memorial Service will be Thursday, May 12, 2022 at 1 o’clock at Bethany United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 12 o’clock noon until the time of service in the main sanctuary of Bethany United Methodist Church. Private burial will be at a later date. Memorials can be made to ‘The Stasiukaitis Family Fund’ in care of the Coastal Community Foundation, 1691 Turnbull Ave. North Charleston, SC 29405, or online through the Coastal Community Foundation Website (https://coastal.fcsuite.com/erp/donate/create?funit_id=3607). Memorials can also be made to the Dorchester County Library, 76 Old Trolley Rd; Summerville, SC 29485 in Sara’s honor.

Sara was born on July 31, 1939 in Sandersville, GA, a daughter of the late Robert F. Henry and E. Elizabeth Seagraves. During her lifetime she enjoyed reading books and spending time at the library which then turned into her lifetime career of being a librarian at local elementary schools. Sara also enjoyed traveling, playing Bridge, watching sports, and drinking an ice-cold Jamocha Shake.

In addition to her husband, Joseph Stasiukaitis of Summerville, SC, Sara leaves behind her daughters, Sara Elizabeth Yoder (Bryan) of Clemson, SC, Anna Ellis (Jim) of Summerville, SC, Lola Norman (Larry) of Summerville, SC, Katherine Hensley of Summerville, SC; sons, Robert Stasiukaitis (Brenda) of Summerville, SC, Paul Stasiukaitis (Crystal) of Summerville, SC; along with her 11 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents, Robert F. Henry and E. Elizabeth Seagraves; brother, Robert Henry Jr., and great-granddaughter, Anele E. Stasiukaitis.
