Sharon April McBurnett

Sharon April McBurnett, 55, of Summerville, passed away Sunday, July 18, 2021. 

The relatives and friends of Sharon McBurnett are invited to attend her visitation from 2 o’clock to 4 o’clock on Sunday, July 25, 2021, at Parks Funeral Home, 130 W. 1st North Street, Summerville, SC 29483. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials can be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. 

Sharon was born April 20, 1966, in Jacksonville, Florida. She was the daughter of Harland Taylor McBurnett, Sr. and Shirley Ann McBurnett. She loved to rescue all animals, especially kittens, always had a good book in her hands, and would always help anyone who was in need.  She was a mother to many and will be dearly missed. 

Sharon is survived by her sons, Shay McBurnett of Summerville, SC, and Dustin Porter and his wife Amelia of Charleston, SC; sister, Susan McBurnett and her granddaughter, Summer Porter. She is predeceased by her daughter, Cherish “Alex” Porter and her son Jordan Porter.
