Shelby Jean Crimminger

Shelby Jean Crimminger, 86, passed away on March 17, 2024 at her home in Summerville, SC.

The relatives and friends of Shelby Crimminger are invited to attend her Memorial Service at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Parks Funeral Home, 130 W. 1st North Street, Summerville, SC 29483. 

Shelby, affectionately known by her family as “Nanny”, was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and made everyone around her smile. She loved her puppy, Cali. Through her long battle with dementia, she remained the funny and kind-hearted person she had always been.

She spent her life taking care of her family and was a person that we could always depend on. She was an amazing cook and baker and enjoyed making her family and friends smile through her food.

We are heartbroken by the passing of our matriarch and she will be deeply missed.

Shelby is survived by her sister, Mildred Crimminger; her son, Douglas Crimminger; Grandchildren, Brittany Koester (Michele), John Crimminger, Tyler Koester (Amber), Ben Crimminger, and her great grandchildren Ella Grace Koester, Mitchell Koester, Lawson Koester, and Sutton Koester. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Crimminger; her daughter, Angela Koester and her great granddaughter, Amelia Koester.
