Shirley Ann Waite, born on November 26, 1935, in Bellwood, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2025, in Summerville, South Carolina.
In honor of Shirley, memorials can be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, https://www.stjude.org.
On September 3, 1955, Shirley married John B. Waite, and together they built a loving family that became the center of her life. She was the devoted mother of three children: Deborah Ash, John C. Waite, and Jamie D. Waite. Her legacy continues through her eight grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren, who brought her immense joy and pride.
Shirley grew up in a large and close-knit family with three brothers-Dick, Butch, and Bob-and five sisters-Evelyn, Janie, Sandy, Judy, and Nancy. She cherished these relationships deeply and carried the values of love and togetherness throughout her life.
A kind and caring soul, Shirley happiness in life's simple pleasures. She loved spending time outdoors in the sunshine, enjoying the water, and camping with those she held dear. Her warmth and generosity left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
May Shirley's memory bring comfort to all who loved her as they celebrate a life well-lived and filled with love.
