Sophie Rose Clapp

Sophie Rose Clapp, 28, of Summerville passed away on Friday, January 5, 2024.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 11 o’clock at St. John the Beloved Catholic Church, 28 Sumter Ave, Summerville, SC 29483. A visitation will be held the night before from 6 o’clock to 8 o’clock at Parks Funeral Home, 130 West 1st North Street, Summerville, SC 29483.

Sophie was born on June 8, 1995 in North Charleston, SC. She loved dancing, and was a brilliant writer, a star athlete in sports such as basketball and cheerleading. She loved to go to the beach any chance she got. Most importantly, she was a light in any room she entered. She was known as a quick witted girl with lots of friends. Everyone who knew Sophie, or who Sophie impacted in this life, will always miss her smile and presence forever. 

Sophie is survived by her parents, John Clapp and Erin Kersting of Summerville, SC; son, Porter Clapp of Summerville, SC; sisters, Abigail Clapp of Summerville, SC, and Laura Kersting of Summerville, SC. She is predeceased by her grandparents, John and Laura Kersting.
