Stanley Severson Obituary

Stanley “Stan” Vernon Severson, 91, of Summerville, SC, loving husband of Carole Krauter Severson, passed away January 12, 2022 at Lowcountry Community Hospice House.

A Visitation for family and friends will be Saturday, January 15, 2022 from 4 o’clock until 6 o’clock at Parks Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Stan’s name may be made to Claremore First Assembly of God, 2100 West Blue Starr Drive, Claremore, OK 74017. Entombment will be at a later date in Oakhaven Memorial Gardens, 801 South Normal Avenue, Claremore, OK 74017.

Stan was born August 10, 1930 IN Osseo, WI, the son of the late Oliver Severson and Hillder Adamson Severson. He was a truck driver and writer, and enjoyed playing golf, pool, and Scrabble. Stan also loved bowling, reading, gardening, and volunteering his time to the elderly and Meals on Wheels.

In addition to his wife, Carole Severson, Stan leaves behind her sons, Harold Severson (Carol), and Ray Severson; daughters, Brenda Pett (Calvin), Regina Anderson (Mark), and Carolyn Perez (Juan); sister, Helen Wilson; twelve grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents and brothers, Richard Severson and Leonard Severson.
