Sydney Worth Lewis III, 60, widower of the late Cynthia Lewis, passed away Friday, April 11, 2025.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday afternoon, April 16, 2025 at 1 o’clock in Parks Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Plantation Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6 o’clock until 8 o’clock at Parks Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in his name be made to the National Kidney Foundation by visiting www.kidney.org.
Sydney was born September 7, 1964 in Kinston, NC, son of the late Sidney Lewis, Jr. and Anne Cross Lewis. He worked as an Industrial Automotive Maintenance Technician and worked for Bosch for 20 years. He loved NASCAR racing and collected vintage cars.
Sydney leaves behind his sons, Syd Lewis IV of Moncks Corner, SC and David Lewis of Ft. Wainwright, Alaska; sister, Linda Spangler of Walterboro, SC; stepchildren, David Kesel of Edisto, SC and Marilyn Chinners of Moncks Corner, SC; stepbrothers, Reginald Cross, Jr. of Millsboro, VA, Steve Cross of Moncks Corner, SC, Mike Cross of Goose Creek, SC and Sam Cross of Moncks Corner, SC; stepsister, Libbie Sweatman of Cross, SC; and five grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Sidney and Anne, and his wife Cynthia, he is predeceased by his stepfather, Reginald Cross, Sr.
