Sylvia Anne (Bowman) Rogers

Sylvia Anne Rogers, 76, of Ladson, SC, entered into the presence of our Lord on Friday, April 30, 2021.

Sylvia was born March 13, 1945 in Birmingham, AL, the daughter of James Clyde and Berlie Estelle (Jordan) Bowman and died April 30, 2021 in Ladson, SC.

On August 13, 2000, Sylvia married William Rogers at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Sylvia has lived in the area since 1979 and was a loving wife, mother, animal lover and member of North Trident Baptist Church. Prior to retirement, Sylvia worked as an Operations Clerk and Accounting Technician in Non-Appropriated funds for the United States Air Force, and did marketing research for America's Research Group in Charleston, South Carolina.

Sylvia is survived by her husband, William "Bill" Rogers; her son, Christopher "Shawn" Backus; and her brother, James Gary Bowman of Pell City, AL. She was preceded in death by her son, Frank Lee Backus Jr., her sister Julia Clydean Bowman, and her parents.

Memorial services will be held at North Trident Baptist Church, 9939 Jamison Road, Summerville, SC on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at 11:00 AM.
