Terry Leon Ford

Terry Leon Ford, 68, of Summerville, SC, husband of Deborah Lynn Cary Ford, passed away Monday, March 10, 2025 at MUSC.

Memorial Services will be Friday morning, March 21, 2025 at 11 o’clock in Summerville Baptist Church. Flowers will be accepted or memorials in Terry’s name may be made to Summerville Baptist Church Youth Ministry, 417 Central Avenue.

Terry was born June 26, 1956 in St. Joseph, MO. He made a career as a Field Engineer for Nucor Steel for almost 30 years. He was formerly a 30 year member of Crossroads Community Church, but had joined his new church family at Summerville Baptist Church before his passing. He loved leatherwork, model trains, and trips to his “happy place,” Disney World. He also volunteered for Disaster Relief through the Southern Baptist Convention.

In addition to his loving wife of 51 years, Debi Ford of Summerville, SC, Terry leaves behind his sons, Trevor Ford (Kimberly) of North Charleston, Tristan Ford (Cassie) of Summerville, SC, TC Ford (Melissa) of Louisville, KY, and Clint Hiott (Hope) of Leesville, SC; daughter, Chasity Hughes (Dale) of Lexington, SC; brother, Randy Ford (Donna) of St. Joseph, MO; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents, William Leon Ford and Myrtle Maxine Rutter Ford.
