Thomas Nelson Sadlemire

Thomas N. Sadlemire, Sr., 87 passed on June 6, 2022 at his home in Summerville, SC. He was born September 24, 1934 in Troy, NY. He lived in Cohoes, NY for several years and when he retired from Ford Motor Company in Green Island, NY after 32 years he relocated to Mashpee, MA while snow birding to New Smyrna Beach FL in the winter. He finally spent his remaining years in Summerville, SC. 

Tom was married to Marilyn Sadlemire for 52 years who passed away on May 13, 2022. He is also preceded in death by parents Nelson and Dorothy Sadlemire as well as sons Tom and Jim Sadlemire. He is survived by his brother Robert Sadlemire (Carol), Myrtle Beach, SC, his children Robert Sadlemire (Mary Kay), Black Mountain, NC, Dorothy Sadlemire, Eastaboga, AL, Joseph Sadlemire, Chatham, MA, Martin Sadlemire (Dilyanna), Harwich, MA, Richard Sadlemire. Troy, NY, Gary Clifford (Kathy), Pawley's Island, SC, Richard Clifford (Janner), Orlando, FL, Jack Clifford (Sandy), Summerville, SC and Mary Ann Robertson (Andy), W. Sayville, NY as well as 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. 

Tom enjoyed playing golf, billards, Tennis, Bocce Ball and bridge. One of his favorite things to do was being at the helm of Madam de Barge on warm evenings, cruising on John's Pond with family and friends sipping a cocktail! 

Family and friends are invited to attend his Celebration of Life on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 from 2 - 4 pm at Parks Funeral Home, Summerville, SC.
