Tommie Barnhill, 81, of Georgetown, SC, widow of the late Earl Barnhill, passed away Monday, March 24, 2025 at her residence.
Funeral Services will be Saturday afternoon, March 29, 2025 at 1 o’clock at Ringel Heights Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens, 1640 Pennyroyal Road in Georgetown. The family will receive friends from 12 o’clock until the time of service in the sanctuary. Flowers are accepted or memorials in Mrs. Tommie’s name may be made to Spring Gulley Baptist Church.
Pallbearers serving are Tommy E. Barnhill II, Nicholas Barnhill, Wiley Brown, Maddux Brown, Jake Brown, and Brian Turner.
Tommie was born January 16, 1944 in Hemingway, SC, the daughter of the late Player T. Browder and Wilba Hughes Tindall. She was an excellent cook, baker, and loved to go fishing. Tommie enjoyed working in her yard, planting flowers and watching her great-grandsons play baseball.
She retired from the office of Dr. David Grabeman, DDS and later from Rural Community Water District of Georgetown.
Tommie leaves behind her two sons Michael Barnhill (Trisha) of Summerville, SC and Tommy Earl Barnhill (Cindi) of Georgetown, SC; grandchildren Nicholas Barnhill of Summerville, SC, Patrick Barnhill (Alex) of Crestview, FL, Tommy E. Barnhill II (Renee) of Georgetown, SC, Elizabeth Brown (Wiley) also of Georgetown, SC, Ashton Weatherford of Eutawville, SC, and Brian Brunson, Jr. of Moncks Corner, SC; and great-grandchildren Maddux Brown, Jake Brown, Emmie Brown, Waylon Barnhill, Luke Barnhill, and Rynlee Weatherford. She also leaves behind her special friend Larry Britt and best friends Bonnie Altman and Linda Cameron. In addition to her late husband Earl Barnhill and her parents, she is predeceased by her sisters Mary Jo McDougal, Vennie Ruth Bonnett, and Johncia Fanning.
