Vickie Combs Folden

Vickie Combs Folden, 79, of Ridgeville, SC, wife of Michael Nick Folden, passed away Friday, April 24, 2026 at her residence.

Visitation will be Tuesday evening, April 28, 2026 from 6 o’clock until 8 o’clock at Parks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Wednesday morning, April 29, 2026 at 11 o’clock in Parks Funeral Home Chapel. The family invites friends to join them for a reception after the service at 191 Trinity Drive, Summerville, SC 29483. Flowers are accepted. Inurnment will be at a later date in Dorchester Memory Gardens.

Vickie was born January 19, 1947 in St. George, SC, the daughter of the late Alvin Gerald Combs and Peggy O’Neal Shuler Combs. She found her greatest joy in her family, especially as a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, watching hummingbirds, and sharing coffee with friends and family. Her life was deeply rooted in her faith, which guided her with love and grace.

In addition to her husband, Michael of Ridgeville, SC, Vickie leaves behind her sons, Michael “Glenn” Folden (Starr) of Ridgeville, SC, Kevin Christopher Folden (Carrie) of Summerville, SC, and Dennis Wayne Folden (Pennie) also of Summerville, SC; sisters, Gloria Murray of Grover, SC and Peggy Neal of Summerville, SC; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and countless honorary grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents; daughter, Melissa Folden Simpson; and two sisters, Jerri Nettles and Jackie Charpia.
