Violet (Craven) Meree

Violet C. Meree, 82, of Summerville, passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family.

The relatives and friends of Violet Meree are invited to attend her Funeral Service at 10:00 AM, Monday, June 14, 2021, at Parks Funeral Home Chapel, 130 W. 1st North Street, Summerville, SC 29483. The burial will follow in Plantation Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Sunday evening, at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted.

Violet was born in Charleston, South Carolina on May 14, 1939. She was the daughter of Jasper and Frances Craven. Violet was a loving mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and great, great grandmother. She loved her family and her country music. Violet was an avid gardener and an extremely hard worker. She was a phenomenal cook and could sew anything you would challenge her to.

She is survived by her daughters; Lynda M. Headden (Stanley), Sandra M. Davis (Michael) and Cheryl McMahan; her grandchildren, Roy Port, Jr., Christy Port (Jason), Rocky Port, Donna Green (Jack), Brian Meree (Tina), Jesse Strickland, Joseph Strickland (Ashley), Michael Davis (Michele), Kim Cassady (Travis), Mario Maggay and Annie McMahan; 22 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Debra Ann Meree; son, William D. Meree and her brothers, Eugene Craven, Harvey Craven and David (Dook) Craven.
