Viva Wyatt Robertson passed away peacefully on December 19, 2021 in her home in the Villages, Florida with loving family at her side. She was born March 23, 1929 in Gastonia, North Carolina to Lawrence and Virginia Wyatt. She married John Mullins who preceded her in death. Also preceding her death were her beloved siblings James Wyatt, Donald Wyatt, Margaret Boehler, Harriett Wyatt, Shirley Wyatt and Johnny Wyatt.
Viva loved and was proud of her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She loved sharing stories and pictures of her family to neighbors and anyone she met in hospitals and doctors’ offices. Wherever “Nanny” went so did her pictures of her family. She often said, “oh, what a great reunion when I see my family in heaven and tell them about my grandchildren!” To know our mother, grandmother and aunt you knew of her long and detailed stories. She amazed everyone with her ability to recall details from her whole life. These stories will be cherished by her family. Although, it will be difficult to recall them in as much detail as they were told.
Viva retired from AT&T and was a member of the Pioneer Club at AT&T. She fondly remembered these as the days she worked at the “telephone company.”
When asked by Hospice nurses what her favorite part of the day was she would reply “my morning breakfast and talks with my son-in-law about going home.” She was of Methodist faith. Her life was a living example of her favorite Bible verse found in Ephesians 4:32: “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.”
Viva leaves behind her daughters Veda Mullins Davis (Earl) of the Villages, Florida and Vicki Johnette Skolds of Ocala, Florida. She is the cherished grandmother of Jeff Davis, Leslie Davis, John Skolds (Serena), Lesa Breth and Linsey Skolds (Dave.) She is great-grandmother to Lauren Pegram (Nick), Davis Postell, Finley Moffett, Ella Davis, Emma Davis, Carter Breth, Laken Moffett and Chloe Breth. Nanny also had nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. Memories and stories of Nanny will be carried on by all who knew and loved her.
Services will be Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Summerville Cemetery at 1330 Boone Hill Road at 2:00 graveside.
Please consider lavender flowers in her honor.
