Wendell Ray Tooley

Wendell Ray Tooley, 79, husband of Diana Tooley, of Summerville, passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023.

The relatives and friends of Wendell Tooley are invited to attend his Funeral Service at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Parks Funeral Home Chapel, 130 W 1st North Street, Summerville, SC 29483. Burial will follow in Summerville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service.

Wendell was born on January 1, 1944 in Greenville, Kentucky. He was the son of Norman and Bessie Tooley. Wendell worked as a Plant Manager for a chemical company for 25 plus years. He loved fishing, woodworking and tinkering in his garage.

He was a devoted and loving husband to Diana Tooley for 59 years. He was an amazing and loving father to his five children Michael, Thomas, Denise, Jason and Debra, his sixteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Diana Tooley; children, Michael Tooley (Maria), Thomas Tooley (Julie), Denise Bashqawi (Richard), Jason Tooley (Becky) and Debra Pignol (Nico); his grandchildren, Michael Tooley (Rachel), Jessica Rhodes (Dan), Joseph Tooley (Jessica), Brittany Tooley, Kayla Tooley, Nicholas Bashqawi, Alexander Bashqawi, Mark Bashqawi, Savannah Tooley, Devin Tooley, Alexis Tooley, Olivia Tooley, Kristin Tooley, Jake Tooley, Kaylyn Pignol and Haylee Pignol; his great grandchildren, Ayden Tooley, Alana Tooley and Zyair Smith; his siblings, Teddy Tooley, Gary Tooley and Jetta Morse, as well as many nieces and nephews that loved him beyond measure. Wendell was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Bessie Tooley; grandson, Anthony Tooley; siblings, Becky Chin, Wayne Tooley, Dwight Tooley, Danny Tooley and Brad Tooley.
